Pornhub, the world’s most popular porn site, now accepts bitcoin and litecoin as a payment method. This is huge news, especially in terms of adoption.
Pornhub received 42 billion views in 2019
In the statement made via the Pornhub Premium Twitter account, it was announced that litecoin, known as silver bitcoin, was added to the payment methods along with the king crypto money. The world’s largest porn site received a total of more than 42 billion page views in 2019. This means 115 million visits per day. Even with Pornhub’s brand equity aside, these numbers mean huge adoption.

We have to say that the adult content platform is not new to the cryptocurrency space. In April 2018, the platform started accepting Verge. Last November, after Pornhub had disputes with PayPal, we saw sharp increases in the Verge price. Later, Tron and PumaPay started to be accepted as payment methods by the platform.
Satoshi was right
In a BitcoinTalk forum post dated September 23, 2010, Satoshi Nakamoto predicted that bitcoin would one day enter the porn industry. Ten years have passed and Satoshi was right. Nakamoto had said:
Bitcoin would be convenient for people who don’t have a credit card or don’t want to use the cards they have, either don’t want the spouse to see it on the bill or don’t trust giving their number to ‘ porn guys’, or afraid of recurring billing.

We have to say once again how big this partnership is. The acceptance of bitcoin and litecoin by the adult content platform, which receives more than 42 billion page views per year, will lead to a new era in terms of adoption rate.
